No exact dates have been set for this season’s Waterfire events,we will have dates avaliable as soon as they are released. Waterfire is truely spectacular, and not to be missed! Large metal brazers are filled with wood down the center of the Providence River, and the theatrical stage is set. At sunset the brazers are torched off into a blazing fire that extends down the entire river. Waterfire is also a festival for performers.Restaruants bring their tables outside for the sake of their patrons dining there. What an enjoyable evening in the warmer months.

Wayne & I are looking forward to the creation of our” Meditation Garden”. We have cleared the lower part of the back gardens behind the Victorian fountain, to create a new area for our guests to enjoy some solitude. This will be a secluded woodland garden, perfect for reading,relaxing or quiet conversation with the person you brought with you.On a trip to New Hampshire last year, we found an antique wine cellar’s gate. This will be restored and serve as the grand entrance to our new garden. We have been saving wine bottles to create the pathway with. If any guests would like to give us a wine bottle (with a note corked into it) we will be happy to add this to the pathway. After many years I’m sure the collection of wine bottles will be impressive! Since it’s not completed ,I can’t share any photos with you yet.
The Garden Railroad project should be underway this summer. We will be creating a Garden railroad in the area next to the pond. When complete ,it will have a small village of buildings,and a Ski Mountain with Gondola. This shall be known as Mt. McCarthy! Wayne wants to make snow for effect. Knowing him, he probably will.
)
This should be another year when projects take every spare moment to accomplish. Please come see how we are doing.

I know this sounds too good to be true, after delays due to electricians, plumbers, heating contractors etc., etc…… but yes, Wayne has been working steadily on assembly. He is now up to the point of boxing in the plumbing, and tiling the exterior around the walls. Next is the liner, then we can fill it with water! Amazing how long everything takes when each next step, is dependent on an outside contractor! We just purchased some palm trees for the Conservatory to give the feel of a tropical paradise. We hope for completion by May.
